Stieff sterling silver tea and coffee set in repousse pattern #1100, in beautiful crisp condition, from the late 19th or early 20th century, consisting of:
- a coffee pot measuring 11 1/4'' in height by 9 3/4'' from handle to spout
- a teapot measuring 10 1/4'' in height by 9 1/2'' from handle to spout
- a creamer measuring 6'' in height by 5 3/4'' from handle to spout
- a two-handled covered sugar bowl measuring 7 1/2'' in height with the lid by 6 3/4'' from handle to handle
Hallmarks are shown. Total weight is 87.3 troy ounces.
Stieff is a Baltimore-based silversmith founded in 1892, famous for its hollowware and flatware in repousse pattern. Some of their pieces are in the permanent collection of the Brooklyn Museum.
