Bronze medal from 1801 commemorating the Treaty of Lunéville, signed between France and the Holy Roman Empire, marking the end of hostilities in the War of the Second Coalition and solidifying Napoleon's diplomatic and military dominance, paving the way for his eventual rise as Emperor of the French. At the time, he was first Consul of France and is shown as such on the medal. It measures 42 mm in diameter (1 2/3'') by 3 mm in height (1/8'' in height) and is in very good condition.
