Reed & Barton Sterling Silver 92-Piece Flatware Set in French Renaissance Pattern

Reed & Barton, sterling silver flatware set in French Renaissance pattern with ornate swirling motifs on the handles consisting of: 

- 16 dinner forks, measuring 7 7/8'' in length
- 16 salad forks, measuring 6 1/4'' in length                                                                            - 16 dinner knives, measuring 9 3/4'' in length
- 16 butter knives/spreaders, measuring 6 1/4'' in length
- 12 teaspoons, measuring 6'' in length
- 16 dessert spoons, measuring 7'' in length

Total approximate silver weight (including 1 ozt per knife) is 112 troy ounces. Each piece bears hallmarks as shown. 

Reed & Barton was founded as Babbitt & Crossman in Taunton, Massachusetts in 1824. The failing company was then purchased by Henry G. Reed and business partner Charles E. Barton–and by 1896, the company was awarded a Medal of Excellence at the Philadelphia Centennial Exhibition. During the 1900s, Reed & Barton silver continued to be incredibly popular.
